Ninh Wysocan
| Ninh Wysocan grew up on the island of Guam. Her appreciation of nature was first sparked there, where she and her sister grew up swimming in the coral reefs. The tangled secret shapes she discovered there touched off an appreciation of nature's eccentric forms that she explores in her jewelry to this day. She makes each pieces by individually layering metal chains, rings, unique casts and hand-crocheted silver and gold chain to create asymmetrical shapes that are bold in their dense forms and subtle in their secret details. Wysocan then oxidizes the metals to give them a sophistication and nocturnal glint. no two pieces are exactly alike.
As a graduate of the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design, Ninh's background in fine arts is evident in every piece of jewelry that she handcrafts....every piece is a work of art. |
